Regulating COVID- 19 screening and
triaging (S&T) & health screening
booths (HSB) activities
March-now: To safeguard the public, Private Medical
Practice Control Section HQ and Federal Territory
State Health Department also conducts surveillance
on private healthcare facilities which provide COVID-19
screening throughout the pandemic.
The facilities are inspected on the standard operating
procedures, personnel and techniques on handling
the samples during the sampling. Facilities which were
found to conduct screening without fulfilling stipulated
requirements were ordered to stop providing the
service immediately.
Private Medical Practice Control Section of the Federal
Territory State Health Department also conducted
surveillance to ensure that private healthcare facilities
which is registered/ licenced with aesthetic services
do not provide aesthetic services during the Movement
Control Order period, in accordance to Director-
General’s directive.
