Field Hospital

On the other hand, the establishment
of the Tawau Field Hospital posed a
new plethora of challenges. This non-
Covid treatment facility was a fully
functional hospital that offered surgical,
obstetrics, pediatrics, and orthopedics
services. The task here is striking
the balance between maintaining
healthcare services at established
healthcare facilities and now also
running services at this field hospital
optimally. This 200 bedded hospital
required more than 170 medical
personnel that were mobilised from
Peninsular Malaysia as well as internal
mobilisation from within Sabah.
